Australia’s Food and Beverage Accelerator (FaBA)

June 22, 2026 Research and Development

In partnership with Australia’s Food and Beverage Accelerator (FaBA), Noumi’s work in precision fermentation is bringing our vision of a healthier tomorrow to life.

After early R&D with Monash University proved we could produce recombinant bovine lactoferrin using yeast, we’ve taken the next step to scale this work.

Why is this important? It means that we have found a way to produce this valuable, multifunctional protein in a sustainable way.

Through a co-funded project with FaBA, research is now underway at The University of Queensland where specialised teams are helping push this innovation forward. With funding secured through to December 2027, we’ve got a clear runway to keep building.

As always, collaboration is key and we’ll continue working closely with FaBA and our partners to make sure we’re sharing our progress clearly and consistently.
